What i've learned

So far I've learned what copyrighting is and how it works, copyrighting is when you get protection from the US so that people cant copy your work. In the story a lady named Sarah wrote a poem in high school to her boyfriend and 10 years later it became a hit record. Sarah wrote to her ex boyfriend of over 10 years ago saying he stole her work. The guy (Brian) had several good points but in the end it turns out he was wrong because even though her work was not registered, she was the original author and when the document was created she had all rights to it because even though she wrote it for him she did not give him permission to reproduce it.
